WARNING, OFFENSE IS COMING YOUR WAY... PART 2

WARNING, OFFENSE IS COMING YOUR WAY…..  Pt 2
What will it be?   Where will it happen?   What will I do?  Who will it be?

(Matthew 18:15)  But if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.(Matthew 18:16)  But if he will not hear you, take one or two more with you, so that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. (Matthew 18:17)  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he neglects to hear the church, let him be to you as a heathen and a tax-collector.

First of all, I would like to tell you that I am well acquainted with this subject.  I experience offense almost daily.  The only time I do not, is usually, when I have absolute no contact with the world!  I consider myself to be well able to write more on this subject, than a lot of people.

Being a Pastor I have offended no doubt, and been offended MANY times!

People will  offend and be offended any place, anywhere, anytime.

With new modern technology – we have more opportunity to be offended than any generation that ever lived!!!

Offense usually comes from words and actions of others.  Sometimes mannerisms can really set some people off.    Rudeness, being overlooked, instructions (rules), correction,
stupidity – and many more that I can’t come up with right now are typical opportunities for offense.

Offense can come from people that we know and don’t know.  For instance,  Facebook is a great opportunity to offend and be offended.   I will confess, if I could secretly leave an offending message on some people’s Facebook, I probably would at times.   Yep, sometimes, if I am so offended, at that time I don’t give a hoot!   But, I know my reading audience probably couldn’t even relate to such an awful thought of doing that!  Right?

Later, God reminds me of what His Word says about it!!!

(Matthew 18:35)  This is how my heavenly Father will treat each one of you unless you forgive your brother from your hearts."  (John 13:34)  I am giving you a new commandment to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.

Many trespasses are a result of “misunderstandings”.  You need first to investigate the facts and find out for sure if it really occurred, or if those were the ‘exact words’ that were spoken.
Many people are offended by misinterpreting others' intentions.  Listening to rumors & second hand information often contain distortions and exaggerations.

One of the big reasons people become and stay  offended is because they are too self-focused.    Instead of focusing on the Word or on helping others, they are focused on themselves and their needs, their lack, their wounds, and their pain, etc. That is why we want to get over it quickly through forgiveness.  It gets our  focus off ourselves and on God and others.

There are also misunderstandings of what offense is.   Trauma of any kind can cause hurt in a person’s life, but these are not offenses, but they need much forgiveness, same as offense does.  If you will, today, confess your offense to the Lord and ask  for forgiveness, it will flee from you.   Try it it you will like it!  It works!

Warning Offenses Will Come, what are you going to do about it?

WARNING OFFENCE IS THE DEVILS’ TOOL TO KEEP YOU FROM MOVING FORWARD

Most of my blogs are pertaining to living a Christian life as well as understanding the
Word of  God, and how God’s Kingdom works.   I am interested in people having their needs met, growing in grace, and becoming fruitful in the Kingdom of God through their knowledge of the Word.

If you have a religious mind set these blogs can help you, get free and walk in The Kingdom of God mind set.

As a believer you want the best and highest from God

This Blog is on Offence.

Offense is something that we have to deal with all the time, and most believers do not deal
well with offense.    There are several reasons:  Ignorance of what the Word of God says; Not
doing what the Word of God  says to do (called disobedience), and Immaturity.  There is  probably a lot more reasons I could list.

If you are offended right now as you read this, I pray you will get a revelation and walk this out with the maturity and knowledge of the Word of God, with much wisdom and revelation.

There is something about the word “grow up”.  My husband always says build a bridge and get over it.   I understand all this is easier said than done.  That is not always the answer, maybe a few times, but the soul man is wounded.

Not everyone or all of us, are going to agree all the time.  When people are working together, that is just life.  Sometimes, what we do is we judge others motives without really knowing what they are and we judge people wrong in so many situations.

God is looking for people whose hearts are perfect towards Him, and walking free of offence.
I am sure you have been around people who are offended as well as having been offended yourself.
They are bitter, mad, and always talking negatively about the person who offended them.

First of all let’s look at what offence means, or to be offended; Someone can be offended at you and you don’t even know it.

(Mark 4:14)  The sower soweth the word.(Mark 4:15)  And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

When the Word of God is being taught, Satan will come and try to rip you off.  Because, if it gets into your heart,  you will bear fruit.   When we are offended,  we are no longer able to receive God’s best.  You can allow Satan to steal from you and hinder you and keep you from God’s miracles.     Offence is a trap, and it means to sin against.

(Mark 4:16)  And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

(Mark 4:17)  And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.(Mark 4:18)  And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,

Don’t allow people to offend you.  All of a sudden someone will say something to you with out knowing the truth, or maybe they are ‘know it alls’, or they don’t know that they are offending you….

You might think that you have a valid reason for holding onto an offense but the enemy really just has you in a cage.   We can all try to justify our offense of what omeone did to you, and we can keep bringing those offensive thoughts back up.  This makes us feel justified in our feelings and allows you to release our anger.  But you are the one in the trap, and are the prisoner.

(Acts 24:16)  And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

When we keep these offense in our hearts, we are not:  Feeling God’s love and compassion for others, and trusting God as we return our hearts and minds toward Him.

Pray, “God, help me to mature and help me to get my life to the point where my heart is perfect.”

CHRISTMAS CHILD

There's so many needs in this  world.  Wouldn't it be nice if we were able to meet everyone of those needs?  By ourselves we cannot, but everyone of us can in one way or another.  So many in the body of Christ are sitting on their gifts and their ability to give.   God's Kingdom Economy is the opposite of the kingdoms of this World's economy.   God's economy is to pour out so we can pour more.   When we give to bless, He will bless us to be able to  give more.

This year, Dec. 23rd, 2011 @ 6 PM,  we are having a Christmas Kidz party at Word-A-Live! Church for Kids (1 thru 17)  for underprivileged kidz;  those who wouldn't have a Christmas otherwise.

  • We are looking for kids who won't have a Christmas gift or celebration this year; unless someone(s) is willing to give.
  • I am asking for:

Donors.  Those who are willing to give a gift ($10 or more), marked gender and age or a money donation for the party or gifts.

Helpers to  help organize this and those who will  come serve and help.

We will be having goodies in our Kidz Room, and Christmas Carole's in the sanctuary and gifts.

I read where a gentleman who was abundantly blessed, gave 100 bikes away; and another 1,000 bikes for a
Kidz Christmas party just like the kind we are planning.

We need names of Kidz to invite or where we can get names of those who are in need this Christmas.

Will you plant a seed into good ground?  Your skills, your finances, your support, your prayers, the contacts for names?

I would like to see us be able to  do more, but it's what we can do now.  It's what we have in the house now.  It's  like the poor widow woman in the Bible, she  gave what she had and God multiplied it, as long as she kept pouring.  I am believing with expectancy that God will multiply our resources next year as we pour this year!

Will you be part of the miracle?  Let me know what you can do.

IT WAS AMAZING!

IT WAS AMAZING!
Dear Amazing Saints,

I am wanting to recap on what an amazing week and conference we had!  And, the effort
and work that was put into it was amazing.  Everyone that volunteered was amazing from administration to food.

Pastor Mike & I  had just returned from our vacation and we hit the floor running.   There were four trips to the airport from the day we had returned from the airport to the days that Pastor Mike  picked  up ministers.  After our return Monday night, Pastor Mike returned Tues. a.m. to pick Michael up at the airport.  Then, on Thursday we prepared the house that the ministers would be staying in.  On Sat. afternoon he went back and picked up Bishop Hamon and returned that eve.   On Monday afternoon he left, again, to pick up Dr. Tim Hamon, and returned shortly after our Monday Evening service began.

Sunday was an amazing service with Bishop Bill Hamon.   We had the pleasure of having Apostle Gale (he was staying in our home) and Bishop Hamon for a bbq dinner and we had a great time to visit.

Monday morning Pastor Mike hit the floor running; he always takes Michael to school every day  and then goes and checks on my 94 yr old mother; giving  to her her pills and breakfast.  I was able to do office work most of the day.   Pastor Mike always picks up Michael after school and then the homework schedule, etc. is important to get done every day of the school week.  We were able to squeeze this in between the amazing meetings; and it was a pleasure having Apostle Gale here for us to wait on.  Monday night was an amazing  night with Bishop Hamon ministering the Word of God.   Our evenings afterwards always end with us making sure the ministers needs are taken care of.  They are usually ready for a bite to eat.  Our bedtime was around 1 am or 2 am these meeting nights.

On Tues morning, getting up, was a challenge, and having the usual routine to do as well.  The word from Bishop Hamon was amazing on speaking in tongues. During the Lunch break I was able to come home take care of puppy and do office work.   Pastor Mike went to town and picked up the breakfast food needed for the Wed. morning Amazing Breakfast.     We had another amazing afternoon and evening.   Many people were prayed for and prophetic words to given to many.  The people that came to the Prophetic Explosion were  hungry people.

Wednesday morning was another stretch for all of us.  It was an Amazing Breakfast.  Pastor Mike had to leave right toward the end of the presentation and went to the school and picked up Michael and returned back to the church ‘just in time!” to be with us as Apostles Mike and Kathy Watson were ordained with C.I.  There were several others interested in getting ordained  with them in the near future.  To top it off we spent 2 hours breaking bread Wed. night with the Apostles.  It was a blessed time, and was a great ‘family’ time with them.

Wow, Thurs morning came quick after getting to bed at 2 am.   I needed to be at the church to open up for our Women’s Bible study, which was awesome.  It is on the book of Revelation.    Thurs. morning Michael called from school needing to come home – he had a temp. and not feeling well.   Pastor Mike did most of the cleaning in our downstairs room where Apostle Gale stayed, while I was at Bible Study.  After the Bible study I was able to come home for about an hour, and then Pastor Mike and I went to the house where the ministers had stayed and cleaned it.   We  removed everything that needed to be removed from garbage, to left over food and Pastor Mike went back over later and put the sheets back on that we had washed and dried.   We tried to get as much done as we could but by 9:30 pm.  We were out of it; reading was even too hard.  It was bedtime!

I am sharing this all with you, because without you, we could not have done it all.  Your meals, your helping with registrations, greeting, curtain, p&w were all blessings.   All these things helped so much.  We are the body of Christ.  Everyone working together is so important, and a blessing to one another and your Pastors.

We are praying that this next year, in  2012,  that God will give us more workers with endurance, strength and vision to help us do what God wants to do through us.  Without much strength from the Body of Word-A-Live! It cannot be done.   We pray for workers in the harvest! We pray that the people in Word-A-Live have much endurance and strength to run the race set before them and us together.

Again, we thank you or all your help.  We hear so often that some people have the thought that Pastors don’t do anything but lay around during the day watching  tv and reading their bibles, and take lots of vacations.   But, most Pastors are hard workers and give their life to raise up people to be all that God has called them to be, and wants them to be.

We want to thank you for helping this week to be an Amazing Week!!!

When we were on vacation, in HA, I had about 2 – 4 hours of office work to do each day while being there.  People said you can’t do that when you are on vacation; leave it til you come back.  But, the spirit of Wisdom says “yeah you will have all that plus all the new stuff you need to do and the conference coming up” – I could visualize that and I knew that I did not need that to  come home to.  I learned when I was growing up to work.  We had a wonderful vacation and we had time to rest also.  Being a minister,  whether Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Teacher, or Pastor – much more is required….

Paul said:  (Philippians 3:14)  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:15)  Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be of this mind. And if in anything you are otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this to you.(Philippians 3:16)  Yet, as to what we have already attained, let us walk in the same rule, let us mind the same thing. (Philippians 3:17)  Brothers, be imitators together of me, and mark those who walk this way, for you have us for a pattern.(Philippians 3:18)  (For many are walking, of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping, as the enemies of the cross of Christ;(Philippians 3:19)  whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, those who mind earthly things.)(Philippians 3:20)  For our citizenship is in Heaven, from which also we are looking for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,(Philippians 3:21)  who shall change our body of humiliation so that it may be fashioned like His glorious body, according to the working of His power, even to subdue all things to Himself.  Let’s Press on to greater things.

I want to encourage you to be strong in the Lord (don’t be a wimp) lol.  Love you all, and again, thank you for making this Conf. Amazing.

Let’s do amazing things this Thanksgiving and Christmas:  Remember the Thanksgiving
Turkeys.  We need your help in these two areas:  1.  Find a family that is in ‘real’ need to whom  we can give a turkey to for Thanksgiving.  2.  Find children who are less fortunate than you  that can come to a Christmas Party on the 20th of Dec. that we can give presents to – and maybe you would consider buying one less present or more  this year for your  family and bring this present or more to this party. (more info. will be given)

Don’t forget our Operation Christmas the next two weeks.

We believe in the Kingdom Principle:

(Matthew 25:35)  For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in;

(Luke 6:38)  Give, and it shall be given to you, good measure pressed down and shaken together and running over, they shall give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you measure, it shall be measured to you again.

Thank all of you who gave and made this SO AMAZING, AND THE AMAZING TIMES AHEAD!

Keys to your Life

KEYS TO YOUR  LIFE!
How would you like to know the keys to life?   Every one is searching for a simple way to a successful, fulfilled life!    Is it secret?  No, never has been!

What would your answer be to the question “What is the key to life?”

Most people don’t know, and live life without purpose or a wrong purpose.   Finding your true purpose and living it is a key to life.  You can live a purpose-filled life or a life with no meaning.

I was thinking, how many live playing video games, watch t.v. all the time, and the list could go on.   But,  the computer games are a biggie today.  That is purposeless, living without meaning.  Wasting away the hours.   People get caught up in purposeless living, drifting from one day to the next; one thing to the next – without purpose, with untapped potential and unfulfilled dreams.

I hope this blog will stimulate your appetite for real purpose and meaning to life.

You can do a lot of things and have no purpose.  Do you know what to do?  Are you living with
out purpose?  Drifting as the wind blows?

Your greatest mistake in life is being busy, but not effective.   Jesus of Nazareth was the most effective person who ever lived.  Everything He did was with purpose.   He knew what He was suppose to do and did it, and because of that, He was effective.  The tragedy is when we waste our time and energy on unfocused busyness, purposeless pursuits.

You can be successful in the wrong assignment.   You must succeed in the right thing.   Same with faithfulness and sincerity, and commitment; when you do that you fail God.  He is not impressed with our busyness in the wrong assignment.

Success in life is the effective use of our time; how you use your time.    First things first is the most critical key to your effective time management.   You are today the result of how you have used your time in the past.

Time is also the currency of life.  We use our time to purchase life.   We all wake up with the same amount of currency – 24 hours.  How you spend your time determines the quality of your life and death.  Establish your priorities in life!

The key to your success in life is your effective use of your time, and the use of your time is correct priorities.  Good is not always right.  You can do good things that take the place of right things, causing you to be busy and not effective.

What is life: Time.   What is priority?  It is Doing the right thing at the right time in the right way.
That is what enables you spend your days putting first things first.  Correct priorities are the principle of progress – moving in the right direction.  It protects your time, and your energy.

How would you like to wake up and realize that the past 10, 15, 20 years that everything you have done was wrong!

Correct priorities give you the energy to put first things first –  to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness!

Correct priorities protect your gifts and abilities; puts them  into Kingdom First!  They protect your decisions and your discipline.  People without priorities usually are undisciplined people.  They shoot in every direction, following every whim, going nowhere, and dissipating any possible effectiveness they could have.  Correct priorities simplify life!

Jesus had two simple pursuits in His life:  1) a Kingdom from a place called Heaven 2) A concept He call righteousness.  He had only one message – the Kingdom of Heaven and righteousness.   He promised those who made this there priority would lead a full, successful, and satisfied life.    He taught the message and many have never considered it.  It’s hardly ever heard in the church, in the schools, and in the pulpits.

Jesus always taught what the “Kingdom of Heaven is like…”  It was His priority and it has to be ours too.   His priority is/was never religion or rituals but the introduction of the Kingdom of Heaven to the earth realm.  (Matthew 6:25)  Therefore I say to you, do not be anxious for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?(Matthew 6:26)  Behold the birds of the air; for they sow not, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them; are you not much better than they are?(Matthew 6:27)  Which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his stature?(Matthew 6:28)  And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, nor do they spin,

(Matthew 6:29) but I say to you that even Solomon in his glory was not arrayed like one of these.(Matthew 6:30)  Therefore if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much rather clothe you, little-faiths?(Matthew 6:31)  Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what shall we be clothed?(Matthew 6:32)  For the nations seek after all these things. For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.

A lack of those things causes us to be anxious, stressed out and full of fear.  Jesus said, “don’t worry about these things, because our heavenly Father knows that we need them.  BUT,  seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”    So, this is what it says in plain English “if we take care of God’s priority – His Kingdom – He will take care of ours.

That was Jesus’ one focus.  It was His life and His message, because it was His Father’s
priority.  It was His first priority, and, it must be ours as well.

Seek First!  First things First!!!

The 7 Year Itch

The 7 Year Itch

I was thinking about when my children were little and my grand kids, of how they just loved to help with everything!!!!!!!!  Vacuming, cleaning the toilets, sinks, and floors.  They thought it was fun!    They loved it!

They were just toddlers – awaken to the world around them.  Then comes the itch!
“This work is no fun any more.  This is boring!   Mom and Dad can do it!  I have toys, friends to play with, and places to go!”

Then, I thought,  this is what happens in the body of Christ.  Those new babies, wow, they want to do everything!  But after a few years, they all have their own itch.

What am I doing?   I don’t have time for this!   This is boring! And, off they go on their new adventures of prosperity, fun, and leisure, with no accountability!  Sort of like Paul in his adventures, right? Not!

My answer to the question not asked:
“The person who is greatest among you will be your servant.”  Matt. 20:26

The Kingdom functions on the basis of servant leadership.  Our hearts should reflect Christ’s heart, and our minds, His mind.

Ruling and taking dominion means work! yep! work!   We are kings who serve the world with our God-given gifts.  We serve our way into leadership.

The retraining of our minds is part of what it means to give ourselves as living sacrifices to God.  We cannot live effectively for the Lord until we learn to think like Him.  This is what the Apostles Paul meant when he wrote to the Romans.

(Romans 12:1)  I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service. (Romans 12:2)  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

Jesus came to retrain mankind for Kingdom leadership

We are here to be Mothers and Fathers and  to raise up a new generation of Servant Leaders who won’t be bored with church, cause they will have a Kingdom Mentality of serving which is a privilege and a mindset of the Kingdom, not an obligation!

Amen, so be it!

Becoming A Person of Influence

BECOMING A PERSON OF INFLUENCE
NURTURING OTHER PEOPLE

___Developing a nurturing environment in your home, place of business, or church.
Make it your goal to make the people around you feel loved, respected, and secure.   To do that, commit to eliminating all negative criticism from your speech for one month and searching for only positive things to say to others.

___ Give special encouragement. Pick two or three people to encourage this month.  Send each person a short handwritten note every week.  Make yourself accessible to these people.  And give of your time without expecting something in return.  At the end of the month, examine your relationships with them for positive change.

___ Rebuild bridges.  Think of one person with whom you have tended to be  negative in the past.  (It can be anyone:  a colleague, a family member, or an employee, for instance.)   Go to that person
and apologize for your past actions or remarks.  Then find the quality you most admire about the
person and tell him or her about it.   During the following weeks, look for ways to build and
strengthen the relationship.

The happiest people are those who have invested their time in others.  The unhappiest people are those who wonder how the world is going to make them happy.

A man was asked what a lonely unhappy person should do.  He said “lock the door behind you, go across the street, find someone who is hurting and help them.  Forget about yourself and help others.   Quit keeping score of the hurts  that have happened to you.  You can’t always control what happens to you, but you can control what’s in you.

Show me a person who has a giving heart and is forgiving of others.

Those are the happiest people !
